I don’t think I have every told you the story about a note my mom found in my jeans pocket when I was a 7th or 8th grader….
It was one of those childish, trying to be all big notes that ended with, “but a kiss isn’t a kiss without the slip of a tongue”.
My mother was mortified. Nevermind the fact that I was that girl who would go hang out with my friend’s mother when we played spin the bottle at jr. high parties…
But, I couldn’t tell my mom that because I didn’t want anyone to know how much of a little girl I really still was.
