So, today was the first weekday since finals that I’ve gotten to sleep in. Why? Because, it’s the first day that the kids have been out of school. And, by the way, I scored uber mom points by gracefully dividing my time between two x-mas class parties at school yesterday. As a tangent, I am not as cool as the mom who started the bowl of whipped cream with a piece of hidden gum that you have to find only with your face game.

My laziness was rewarded by being was rocketed out of bed by screams. Leah was “showing” the cat the stockings. Said cat (and yes, it was Addie, as it’s physically impossible for Leah to pick up Oliver) probably had other things to do rather than having its intestines squashed by a six year old and I’m assuming, tried to climb/run away up the stocking. Ten pound pointy stocking holder came crashing down on cat and kid. Kid has a busted head (BLOOD!!!! I’M BLEEDING!!!!!!!!!!!!) and scratches on her face and chest that would make a horror movie red shirted extra proud.

I should have gotten up.
